The 17th arrondissement is a study in contrasts. From les Batignolles with its village feel and pedestrian streets, to the more Haussmannian and bourgeois Ternes-Wagram area, the livelier Guy Môquet-Epinettes district and the Porte de Clichy undergoing urban transformation — you shift from one world to another in just a few metro stops. Les Batignolles in particular has become a hub for freelances and remote workers who appreciate the neighbourhood's laid-back atmosphere.

The 17th isn't the first arrondissement that springs to mind for remote work in Paris, but les Batignolles changes the game. The neighbourhood is packed with welcoming cafés, and a handful of well-positioned coworking spaces round out the offer. We've done a full tour of the arrondissement to bring you 10 spots worth the visit.
