In the evening, options shrink fast: most cafés switch to bar mode, and many coworking spaces only stay open at night for their members. Here are the options you can actually use without a subscription, with opening hours checked on 29 September 2026.
La Permanence Moulin (5e)
2-4 rue du Fer à Moulin. A coworking space open 24/7, paid by the hour, with unlimited coffee. No subscription needed: come at 9pm or midnight and pay for the time you spend. It's the safety net for evenings that drag on.
La Permanence Marcadet (18e)
52 rue Marcadet, near Marcadet-Poissonniers metro. Same idea: open 24/7, paid by the hour. The right option if you're in the north of Paris.
Bpi Lumière (12e)
40 avenue des Terroirs de France. The Bibliothèque publique d'information, temporarily in Bercy while the Centre Pompidou is being renovated, stays open until 10pm and is free. You need a free ticket (Bpi Lumière app or kiosks at the entrance) to get in before 8pm. Closed on Tuesdays, and silence is the rule: no video calls.
What about "24/7" coworking spaces?
Many coworking networks advertise 24/7 access. But that access is usually reserved for members with a badge, outside reception hours. Without a subscription, check before heading out in the evening: day passes often end when reception closes.
