In the heart of the Berry, Bourges has its UNESCO-listed Saint-Étienne cathedral, its medieval center, its marshes and its Printemps musical festival, and it is preparing to be a European Capital of Culture in 2028. A city of art and history where you sometimes need to set up your laptop somewhere other than home. Whether you are a Bourges local working remotely, a student or just passing through the Cher, we have found good places to work for a few quiet hours with wifi, from a central coffee shop to a coworking space with day access.
We relied on the recommendations of the Bourges Berry Tourisme tourist office.

On rue Mirebeau, right in the center, Praline et Panda is a cozy tea room and coffee shop with thrifted decor, homemade pastries and wifi. During the day, it is an ideal place to settle in and get things done in a friendly atmosphere. Open from Monday (afternoon) to Saturday.
Our favorite in Bourges for a cozy session in the city center.
Artisane
On place des Quatre Piliers, a stone's throw from the Palais Jacques Cœur, Artisane is a fine sandwich shop that doubles as a specialty cafe ("breakfast, coffee, lunch"). Fresh homemade food, free wifi, a terrace and a well-kept setting: perfect for a morning session or around lunchtime. Note that the hours are short, Monday to Friday during the day, and the good dishes go fast.
The spot for specialty coffee and a homemade lunch while you work.
Cowork'In Bourges

In the Lahitolle district, Cowork'In Bourges is a well-equipped community coworking space: fiber wifi, desks, a meeting room, a kitchen corner and free parking. Its big plus for nomads is the day pass, with no subscription (price on the official website): you can come and work a full day without committing. A little off the beaten track, but unbeatable for a real day of focus.
A good pick for a quiet working day in a community-run space.
