Nancy is a city with style. Place Stanislas, ranked among the most beautiful squares in Europe, sets the tone: here, things are done with taste. But beyond the gilding, Nancy is also a lively university city with a growing community of freelancers and entrepreneurs. Between the historic centre around Stanislas, the Commanderie district that attracts young professionals, and the areas around the station that are transforming, the city has an increasing number of places to work outside the home.
Freelancers in the Poincaré neighbourhood, remote workers enjoying Lorraine's quality of life, students from the Université de Lorraine fleeing a packed library — Nancy has something for everyone. We walked the streets, tested the connections, and found the places where you feel good getting work done. Here are 10 spots worth your time.
L'atelier de la Pep'
Boulevard du 26ème R.I., not far from the city centre. L'atelier de la Pep' is a full-service coworking space with private offices, shared workspaces and professional equipment. The big advantage: it's accessible 24/7. If you work unusual hours, pull all-nighters on a project, or want to work on a Sunday morning at 7 a.m., it's one of the rare places in Nancy that will follow you.
Fast Wi-Fi, power outlets everywhere, large tables, and even food on site. Recommended by Diplomeo, Passion Télétravail, Desk Community and Working Life in their guides to the best coworking spaces in Nancy. The atmosphere is professional but warm, and permanent access genuinely changes things when you have tight deadlines.
Our favourite for workers with non-standard hours who want a professional space accessible at any time.
B'CoWorker
Rue de Newcastle, in the station district. B'CoWorker Nancy is a 1,200 m² coworking space spread across 3 floors, with 40 workstations. The space is flexible — quiet open-plan area, private offices, meeting rooms — you choose the format that suits you. Access is available 24/7, and the venue is well equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets everywhere, plus a terrace and parking.
Recommended by Desk Community, Working Life, Passion Télétravail and several other specialist sites. Reception is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., but independent access is permanent for members. It's a structured, professional space that offers real flexibility.
The spot for those who want a solid coworking space with room, quiet and 24/7 access.
Le Kagibi
Avenue Foch, in the Commanderie district. Le Kagibi is a coworking space created by freelancers for freelancers, and you can feel it. The space is carefully designed — thoughtful décor, a relaxation corner, a dedicated area for video calls — and the atmosphere is that of a place built by people who know what a nomadic worker needs. Large tables to spread out on, reliable Wi-Fi, and real quiet.
Recommended by Passion Télétravail, Desk Community, Working Life and Kactus. Accessible 24/7. The Commanderie district is pleasant and residential, which contributes to the quiet feel.
For freelancers who want a space designed by peers, in a calm neighbourhood accessible at any hour.
BeePlex
Rue Victor Poirel, right in the city centre, in the historic Magasins Réunis building. BeePlex is a shared workspace with style — the building is listed and the setting has real character. High ceilings, natural light, and that particular atmosphere of places steeped in history. The space is well equipped: Wi-Fi, power outlets, large tables, air conditioning, and even showers if you arrive by bike or on foot after a run.
Recommended by Passion Télétravail, Desk Community and Working Life. Accessible 24/7. The central location is a real asset — Place Stanislas is just two steps away, and all amenities are within reach.
Ideal for working in a historic setting right in the centre, with all modern comforts.
Le Palais! Nancy
Rue Grand Rabbin Haguenauer, in the centre. Le Palais! is a dynamic space that blends coworking, private offices, shared spaces and quick dining. High-speed Wi-Fi, power outlets everywhere, and a lively atmosphere without being noisy. The menu lets you grab a snack or have lunch on site without moving.
Recommended by Diplomeo among the best places to study in Nancy in the evening. Open Monday to Saturday 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. (11 p.m. Thursday to Saturday), and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The extended hours are a real plus — you can come early and stay late, including on weekends.
The spot for long sessions with the option to eat on site and stay into the evening.
Le grand café Foy
Place Stanislas. Le grand café Foy is a historic brasserie on the most beautiful square in Nancy — and probably one of the most beautiful in France. The upstairs is the well-kept secret: a quiet, warm space, far from the bustle of the floor below, perfect for opening your laptop and working in peace. The setting is classic — wood panelling, mirrors, soft lighting — and the atmosphere is studious.
Recommended by Diplomeo and Wanderlog. Open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on weekdays (8 a.m. on Sundays). The range of hours is impressive, and the setting is unique. It's more of a brasserie than a coworking space, so don't expect power outlets at every table — but for a few hours' work in an exceptional setting, it's a must.
For working a few hours on the most beautiful square in Nancy, coffee in hand.
Les 3 maisons
Rue du Faubourg des Trois-Maisons, in the student district. Les 3 maisons is a bright coworking space with an industrial look, very high-speed internet and 24/7 access. The atmosphere is quiet, prices are affordable, and the surrounding student district gives the place a young and dynamic energy.
Recommended by Passion Télétravail and Working Life in their Nancy coworking selections. It's a good choice for tighter budgets who still want a professional, well-equipped space.
An accessible, affordable coworking space in the student district, open at any hour.
Brew Books
Cours des Arts, in the centre. Brew Books is a hybrid bookshop-bistro concept that combines the pleasure of reading and working in a stimulating setting. The atmosphere is warm, surrounded by books, and the place invites concentration. Wi-Fi is available, and the venue attracts a calm, studious crowd.
Recommended by Pau-Formations in its selection of cafés and coworking spaces for studying in the evening in Nancy. Open Monday to Saturday (2 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. Tuesday to Saturday), until 7 p.m. Closed on Sundays. It's a daytime spot, but the literary atmosphere is a genuine plus if you enjoy working surrounded by books.
The spot for book lovers who want an inspiring setting for their work sessions.
Le Café Central
Place Stanislas (again!). Le Café Central offers a dimly lit atmosphere ideal for concentration, with extended hours. It's a classic brasserie café, with background noise that helps some people focus. The setting is pleasant, the location on Stanislas is a luxury, and the hours are very generous.
Recommended by Pau-Formations. Open every day from 7:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. You can come at almost any time of day or night — it's one of the rare spots in Nancy open that late, every day of the week.
For night owls and late sessions on Place Stanislas.
At Work Concept Office
Rue Sergent Bobillot, in the centre. At Work Concept Office is a 24/7 coworking space with brand new private offices and plenty of common areas. The place is designed for startups and entrepreneurs who want a professional setting without the constraints of a traditional lease. Fast Wi-Fi, power outlets everywhere, and well-organised spaces.
Recommended by Working Life in its Nancy coworking selection. Permanent access is a genuine advantage, and the new offices offer optimal working comfort.
For entrepreneurs who want a new, professional space accessible at any hour.
