Pantin has had a complete makeover in recent years. The former industrial town in Seine-Saint-Denis has transformed into a creative hub where designers, developers, freelancers and small agencies all cross paths. The canal de l'Ourcq sets the tone — redesigned riverbanks, converted old warehouses, and an energy that recalls the best of north-east Paris, without the rents of the 10th or 11th. If you work remotely and you're looking for somewhere to set up your laptop outside your living room, Pantin has a few gems to offer.
The offering is still growing — this isn't Bastille or République — but what does exist is quality. Carefully run coffee shops, human-scale coworking spaces, and that distinctly Pantin atmosphere, somewhere between village and metropolis. We've done the rounds and picked out 4 solid spots for your working days.
Anbassa
Rue Hoche, in a bright building with a 1930s dome that's worth the visit on its own. Anbassa is first and foremost a roaster — the coffee here is excellent, prepared with a care you rarely find in standard work spots. But the place is also designed to welcome people who come with their laptops: reliable Wi-Fi, quiet atmosphere, and enough space to get comfortable.
The natural light coming through the dome creates a particular, almost solemn atmosphere that helps you focus. Recommended by Sortir à Paris as a good informal coworking spot, Anbassa has that dual identity — specialty coffee spot and place to work — that works really well. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 9am to 7:30pm, and Sunday morning until 1pm. Closed on Monday.
Our favourite for a productive morning with an exceptional coffee.
La Butinerie
Avenue Jean Lolive, hidden behind an organic grocery — you need to know it's there to find it, and that's exactly part of its charm. La Butinerie is an unusual workspace with a large bay window, power outlets everywhere, solid Wi-Fi, and a small bucolic garden where you can get some air between work sessions. The setting is quiet, almost suspended, far from the noise of the avenue.
Recommended by Passion Télétravail as a free place to work, La Butinerie has very accessible pricing. The atmosphere is calm and studious, perfect for deep work. Watch the hours: open Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 7pm, and Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Closed Sunday to Tuesday. It's a mid-week spot, but when it's open, it's a real little haven.
Pantin's secret spot for working quietly in a green, peaceful setting.
La Piscine Studio
Rue Lépine, in a converted former industrial building. La Piscine Studio is a 50-seat flex office with a lively, collaborative atmosphere. People work here, exchange ideas, create things — the place draws creative and tech profiles that generate a pleasant collective energy. Wi-Fi and power outlets are there, and the spaces are well laid out so everyone can find their corner.
The big plus: it's open 24/7. If you have irregular hours or a project that spills into the weekend, La Piscine will never shut the door on you. The atmosphere is fairly chatty — it's not a place of total silence, but rather a space where the background hum of keyboards and light conversation creates a pleasant work rhythm.
For those who want a coworking space accessible at any hour with a real community of workers.

Pantin is picking up steam on the work spots front, and that trend isn't going to reverse. The city is attracting more and more independent workers and small outfits looking for an affordable alternative to Paris without sacrificing quality of life. The 4 spots in this selection cover different needs — from a carefully run coffee shop to a 24/7 coworking space — and we expect to see more places open in the months ahead.
We update this selection regularly. If you try one of these spots or know one we've missed, we want to hear about it. And if you want to explore other cities, find all our guides on Deskover.
